It's October
2007 in Chicago...the leaves and temperature are
starting to fall. Enter a little golden girl from the sunshine state of Florida
ready to make her mark in the windy city. One minor setback arises, that
delicious Florida tan will no longer come
naturally given Chicago's chilly climate. Ever the adaptable kitten, I had to
think quickly. I threw myself into researching the sunless tanning industry and
Golden Girl Chicago was born. With an education in skincare I knew there had to
be a better way to accomplish a tan without the damaging effects of tanning beds. It was then that I discovered airbrush
tanning and countless trial and error ensued on anyone that would entertain the
idea. A tremendous amount of thanks goes to Tina, Dan, Rusty, Martin, Teresa,
dad,and all mis amigos. A special shout out to my brothers Chris, Steve and
Bear who have given me the courage to live out loud and I love you for it. With
the addition of my best girl Amie, Golden Girl now feels complete and our
vision has always been to inspire confidence and spread a little sunshine...
