It's October 2007 in Chicago, the leaves and temperature are falling. Enter a little girl from the sunshine
state of Florida ready to take on the big city. One minor setback. That gorgeous tan she adores no longer
 comes naturally. She stares at her pale cuban body and YIKES she must think quickly. She
 throws herself into the sunless tanning industry. Golden Girl Chicago is born. 
 
 I was lucky enough to meet someone early on who had the same passion for the beauty business and we become
 fast friends.  Enter Amie Miller. Client by client we build our businesses, her with hair and me with tanning.
We are doing what we love,and paying the rent. HIGH FIVE! Eventually I realize I can't tan everyone that's calling
 and Amie hops on the tanning train too. I teach her everything I know about sunless tanning and our train is moving
a little faster. Chug a chug a. We build a little room in Lincoln Park and now I'm not tanning only door to door but have
a space. Golden girl tans are featured everywhere from Daily Candy, Timeout Chicago, NBC and Allure. You name it
and people were starting to hear about Golden Girl and jumping on our party train. We launch a sunless
 product line featuring our favorite golden girls and by 2011 we are up to our earrings in tans and up-dos.
   In August of 2011 Amie and I put our pennies together and start looking for a home base for Golden Girl Chicago
the salon. We find a gem loft space with a view in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. Chooo Choo! We move in
let the creating begin.

Golden Girl has become a dream come true. It's now a community of girls with talent and passion for the beauty
 industry under one roof. Each of us are unique in her own way but all we believe the same thing: Treat everyone
 like GOLD. Can't say thank you enough to the people who have continued to encourage and support Golden Girl.
